Live chat with guests without giving out your personal number
Guest messaging usually means one of two bad options: hand out your personal WhatsApp and live with it forever, or bounce between the Airbnb app, Booking's inbox, and email depending on where the booking came from.
A chat that lives in the guide
Turn on Chat Host and guests get a chat panel right in the guide. They give a name (email optional) and message you. You reply from a single Chats inbox that covers every conversation across every one of your guides — no channel-switching.
Nobody has to sit and watch it
- When you're away, a guest message emails you with a link straight to the thread.
- When the guest has left the page, your reply emails them a transcript so they don't miss it.
- Guests can send photos and files — a picture of the broken tap, a copy of the parking permit.
Your number stays private
The guest never sees your phone number. The conversation is tied to an opaque link, not your identity, and old threads age out. If a guest needs urgent help there's still a separate emergency contact — chat is for the routine back-and-forth.
